Since launching the initial mainline collection in 1981, Rei Kawakubo has expanded the company to incorporate over 15 different lines. The Comme des Garçons GIRL line mirrors Kawakubo's conceptual and ultra-contemporary vision of the mainline collection but with a slightly more feminine twist.
