Traditional Andalusian jewellery imbued with religious symbolism is reinterpreted with a sense of humour by jewellery designer Cristina Junquero. With designs that play on religious stereotypes of amulets and medallions, her contemporary approach reconceptualises their forms, icons and details. Each piece is handcrafted in the jewellery artist’s workshop in Barcelona using recycled gold.
