Ganni’s creative director, Ditte Reffstrup has been deeply passionate about music –– growing up in a small town in Denmark, MTV was her source of pop culture and style, seeing it not just as a medium that shaped her identity but one that represents connectivity and community. As a result, the popular culture of the 80’s and 90’s became the underlying vision for AW21.
Much of the new collection will feel familiar to the #GanniGirl; Reffstrup wasn’t looking to challenge her with new trends or unrealistic shapes, instead these clothes are meant to be moments of uplift and small reminders that better days are coming!
