Shown as part of Paris Fashion Week just days ago, Marques’Almeida Spring Summer 2019 collection was shown en plain air, on the roof of Lycée Saint-Louis de Gonzague - a prestigious private school in the 16th arrondissement.
This season, couple and design duo Marta Marques and Paolo Almeida continue to reference their Portuguese roots but through their London based eye - clashing the folkloric references with a nod to good old-fashioned British punk.
Their “approachable and relatable clothes” are informed by an eclectic mix of women that surrounds them. Nothing is too fussy or precise, as Almeida states “we just want things to look good on everyone.”
